No injury from fall

A few days ago I went to our local market to buy a few things for dinner. as I approached the dairy cooler I took one step to open the door when I realized the floor had just been mopped. Too late! My feet went out from under me and I had a hard fall

In the second or two when I was falling I had no fear of an accident. After I hit the floor I KNEW I was not hurt. People around me were asking if I was hurt. I could truthfully say no and I immediately got up. I again assured people that I was fine and to myself, I expressed gratitude for God's protection. The young man mopping the floor was most concerned. I again said I was fine. I did suggest that he might wish to put up a wet floor sign. I then continued on my way.

Since then I have thought how wonderful it is to know that each of us has all the protection we need no matter what the material fact situation may be. We all read and hear on TV about the danger of falls for those of us who are commonly referred to as "senior aged adults". All I can say is that there is absolutely no indication of any kind which would indicate some form of accident. No bumps, no bruises, no aches, no pain.

How wonderful it is to be completely free from harm knowing that there are no accidents. I am very grateful for the Christ message that comes to us through the study of Christian Science.

Prayer helps finances

The school I work for thought it would have to close its doors after Spring Break because of financial difficulties. A group of us at the school that are Christian Scientists have been having metaphysical meetings every Monday evening to pray about the challenges of the school and have seen great results. After only having 50 people signed up a week before our annual auction, we prayed about the situation and ended up having close to 250 people, more than ever before. We exceeded our auction goal by nearly 20,000 dollars. We were able to make it well past Spring Break to the end of the year, and no students dropped out in the process to go to other schools. A bankrupt mall down the street got a new investor and is now thriving and an old amusement park down the street reopened after six years of being closed. I am convinced this came about as a result of our prayer about our school which included the community. The school did decide to close at the end of the school year, but the bills were paid.

Sacramento CA talk

I join with my committee in thanking you for bringing your important, vibrant message "The Possibilities of Prayer" to our church and the community. It was truly a learning experience in the highest order, not only in how to heal, how to pray, but in spiritualizing thought. As you said, “Jesus beheld in science the perfect man…” and that science is spiritual understanding. I think we all gained a higher sense of what spirituality and church are all about. We were touched by your visit.

Eye Infection Healed

I have worn corrective lenses since I was a teenager. I stopped by the optometrist because my contact lens was uncomfortable and I thought I might need a new pair of lenses. The doctor diagnosed it as an eye infection and put a drop of fluid in my eye. Then gave me a prescription that I never filled. The night of Elise Moore’s Lecture I took careful notes. Her metaphor of the radio and the title of her lecture, “God Speaking To You" (me) came alive. What was the static for me? What thoughts were distracting me from my true self? I had to tune into God. Then I listened to God and heard “Don’t be afraid I’m with you. And obey." The next morning when I went back to the doctors there was no sign of the infection.

Newport Beach talk afterglow

We wanted to let you know what a powerful healing wake has been left following Elise Moore's, "God is Speaking to You" talk for our Newport Beach Churches (#1 and #2) and the Costa Mesa Church that, combined, sponsored it in the Costa Mesa Community Center on April 7th.

This past Wednesday night we had 8 testimonies and 7 of them talked at length about the application of the lecture's ideas in a myriad of situations -- from business, to health, to teaching Sunday School. It was thrilling and only sorry we didn't have a recorder to share with Elise Moore.

Healed of spasms

After the Newport Beach talk "God is Speaking to You", a gentleman was just radiant. He told a group of us that as a boy, his father had been abusive when drinking, and
had hit him. This had resulted in a tremor in his head for some 20 years, which was healed through the study of Christian Science some years ago.

He related that at the time of the healing while studying Christian Science, he was working at a very noisy automotive plant. One afternoon he had a wonderful insight while at the plant, and he said everything just got very quiet, along with a sense of light all around. There was an immediate and lasting healing of the problem. He understood the sense of light, having heard of that in other healings, but the quiet had always puzzled him, until he heard Ms. Moore talk about the sliencing of STATIC. He felt that that was what had happened--the static of all that noise had been
quieted when he heard the voice of God speaking to him. He was so grateful for the understanding.
