Horse protected

I saw this post regarding having one grateful thought on Elise's Facebook page yesterday just before going out to the horses. I had the thought, yes I am grateful but I need to feel the gratitude let it sink in. As I was riding on the trail, I just keep feeling gratitude, very simple actually. As we were nearing the end of the ride we were heading down a trail that I had never been on along side a deep ditch and the thought came to turn around. I immediately started to turn my mare around and her front legs fell through ground. She popped right out since her weight was on her rear and just kept going like nothing had happened. I looked back and an animal had made a burro and the mare's weight was too much. She could have been seriously injured if her weight had been on the front legs. I had a lot to be grateful for at that moment. But it was the feeling that I had experienced earlier that dispelled the frustration I had been feeling before our ride. I am so grateful.

Prayer protects

In the lecture "God is Speaking to You" [also found on the website www.christianscience.com] your story of how you as a little girl were protected through prayer in the movie theatre, and how the man who had been thinking to do harm was also protected, freed from obliging error, is one of my favorite stories to share both for myself, and those I am sharing with, to illustrate God's love for us all.

Words enough cannot say, but I have felt like that woman who touched the hem of Christ's garment, wakened to a recognition of ever-present, omnipotent, omniscient Love, wakened to grace.

Using the "No!" prayer

After attending the lecture "Texting God: Effective Short Prayers", I mentioned to my husband last night how much I'm enjoying using the effective short "no" prayer. He replied, "Yeah, I used it successfully this morning to stop a headache in its tracks." :-) He asked me to let you know.
Today, I was enjoying finding effective short prayers in the Christian Science Bible Lesson and then went to the Christian Science Monitor to use them. My heart wrenched when I read about the flood victims in Pakistan -- the problems seem so big and so longstanding. Then I remembered, "Trust thou in the Lord; he is their help and their shield" (Psalm 115:9) and was filled with such a sense of God's allness and love that I realized that God is on the case and they will find solutions for every problem they are facing.

Sept 11

I am so grateful for this week's amazing Christian Science Bible-Lesson,--how the subject "Substance" was expanded to be a line-by-line treatment (healing prayer) to handle the pictures of death and destruction, the mortal history drama cramming every corner of the media re: 9/11. Am SO VERY GRATEFUL for the freedom and comfort of the Truth which embraces all humankind and wakes each one (no matter if the lie is earthquake, fires, floods, tornados, terrorism or financial failings) to recognize the presence of the Christ, the love of our Father-Mother God, and that the Kingdom of Heaven IS at hand!!!
